The Republic of Nauru is third smallest country in the world (just 21 km2 land) with a population of 11,000 people. Nauru is smallest member state of the Commonwealth of Nations by area. Situated in the Central Pacific, Nauru provides a gateway to both Asian and Oceanian markets. In the 1990s, Nauru became a tax haven and sold convenience passports to foreign nationals for a price. Once famed for its rich phosphate resources and offshore financial center, the island nation is now focusing on sustainable development and economic diversification. The main revenue streams are fishing, mining and tourism. The name “Nauru” may derive from the Nauruan word Anáoero, which means ‘I go to the beach.’

Nauru offers a wealth of potential for future citizens. The nation’s maritime territory presents opportunities for investment and development, particularly in areas such as sustainable fishing and maritime infrastructure. Nauru’s unique coral landscapes and pristine waters position it as an emerging eco-tourism destination, with potential incentives for early investors in this sector. The country is also exploring innovative technologies for renewable energy and water desalination, aiming to establish itself as a center for climate resilience research and development, which could offer exciting prospects for environmentally-conscious investors.

The NECRCP Program

The Nauru Economic and Climate Resilience Citizenship Program (NECRCP) is a groundbreaking CBI initiative, that offers an unique opportunity to obtain a second citizenship while contributing to climate resilience and sustainable development in one of the world’s most enchanting island nations. This program is designed to attract global investors, whose valuable contribution will benefit with Nauru’s vision for a sustainable future, infrastructure development, renewable energy initiatives, and the preservation of the island’s rich biodiversity.

Investors and their family by contributing directly to Nauru’s Treasury Fund, can benefit from a streamlined application process, with decisions typically made within three to four months.
