Dominica has the second oldest CBI program running since 1992 known for its reputation and popularity. Dominica requires no visit to the island and passport can be easily acquired in three months completing background checks.

Two investment routes available, one is non-refundable donation to NTF state fund ($100k) and the other real estate (requires $200k minimum). To many clients, the donation route is simple, low cost and straight forward compared to the real estate option.

Dominica is also the cheapest CBI for single applicants. It is also a much cheaper program compared to St Kitts and Grenada, where you will save $50,000 or more.

The costs add up the more family members are added into the application (eg. Spouse, child, siblings etc). It is important to note that only children upto 30 years can added to the CBI application for Dominican citizenship.

Here is an overall idea on how much it costs:

First you need to know CBI fee structure properly. Remember only agent fee goes to the agent or lawyer, all the rest goes directly to the government. You will pay part of agent fee first, and the rest ONLY after you are approved by government (CBIU approval), which takes about 90 days.

Single Applicant (Donation)

  • Donation –  US$100,000
  • Processing –  $1,000
  • Due diligence – $7,500
  • Certificate of Naturalization – $750
  • Passport fees – $250
  • Agent fee  – $3,000

TOTAL – $112,500

Family of 3 (Donation)

  • Donation                        US$175,000
  • Processing                                 1,000
  • Due diligence                         11,500
  • Certificate of Nat                        750
  • Passport fees                               250
  • Agent fee                                   3,000

TOTAL –  US$191,500

The agent fee slightly goes up as more family members are added, (you can also directly negotiate). Real estate is even more expensive. We will give you an example below

Real Estate (Single applicant)

With real estate you can buy shares in hotels or resorts approved by CBI unit. Investing in residential properties that are not approved do not qualify for citizenship. These are refundable investments, only condition is you have to hold for 3 years and re-sell after 5 years.

Donation                               US$ 200,000
Government fee                     $25,000
Processing                                 1,000
Due diligence                         11,500
Certificate of Nat                        750
Passport fees                               250
Agent fee                                   6,000

TOTAL – US$ 244,5000

You will notice The Government fee applies ONLY to real estate. It does not apply to Donation route. It goes up the more family members are added.

  • Single – US$25,000
  • Family of four – US$35,000
  • Family of six – US$50,000
