[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Montenegro is set to receive approximately some €1 billion euro FDI from the newly launched economic citizenship by investment program from 2000 applications during three years of operation of the economic citizenship program.
- Foreign direct investment (FDI): Assuming each applicant contribute €100,000 as grant fee, for 2000 applicants, The government will receive €200 million in revenues. Further calculating a average of €400,000 invested in real estate or development projects per application, will yield another €800 million investment in undeveloped areas of Montenegro. The total investment may well exceed 1 billion during the three years.
- Passports: Assuming an average of 2 additional family members per citizenship application, it is expected some 6000 passports to be issued under the citizenship by investment program.
Montenegro citizenship by investment program (CIP) will be designed by government inhouse and will be run in a transparent and efficient way and will closely resemble the Grant plus investment model.
Foreign applicants are required to pay a total of €350,000 or €550,000 plus application fees under two options. This includes the EUR 100,000 (grant) plus EUR 250,000 or €450,000 in development projects to receive citizenship and passport in Montenegro.
The newly launched citizenship program entered into from on Jan 1, 2019 and will run for three years and will be closed on Dec 31, 2021. The applications will commence from Q2 2019.
Licenses for citizenship consultants/agents will be issued upon paying €50,000 per license and the due diligence firms can register with government free of charge for licenses.
