Do I have to attend an interview for the Nauru Citizenship Program?

Yes, every Principal Applicant must attend an interview conducted by an approved due diligence firm, commissioned by the Nauru Program Office. This interview can be held virtually or in person at a location approved by the Nauru Program Office. Additionally, any dependent of the Principal Applicant aged 16 or above may also be required to attend an interview, if deemed necessary, under the same conditions.

How to take Oaths?

The Oath of Allegiance is a formal pledge of loyalty to Nauru and must be taken before the certificate of citizenship shall be conferred. Where a person is not able to take an oath or affirmation of allegiance in person, they may take such an oath or affirmation of allegiance by audio-visual link; or before a notary public or any other person prescribed to administer oath or affirmation in any other jurisdiction.

Do i have to provide Criminal record certificate?

An original and valid statement from a national law enforcement authority on the status of an applicant’s criminal record in that country or countries of residence where each applicant has resided for a period of more than six (6) months during the last ten (10) years.

For how many years is a Nauru passport valid for?

Nauru passports are typically valid for 10 years for adults and 5 years for children.

How do I renew my Nauru passport when it expires?

Passport renewals can be processed through the Nauru Program Office or through Nauruan embassies or consulates. Your Agent can provide guidance on this process.

Do I have to travel to Nauru to apply for citizenship?
