Dominica Oath of Allegiance

Dominica Flag

The Oath of Allegiance is an important part of the citizenship by investment application process affirming loyalty, it must be signed by all applicants in front of a Justice of the Peace, Commissioner, Notary Public, or other person officially, authorised to witness oaths. Diplomatic agents and consular officers can administer oaths, take affidavits and to perform notarial acts. For a child aged under 16, both parents must sign the Oath on his or her behalf. Where one parent has legal custody of the child, that parent should sign the Oath on the child’s behalf and submit evidence to prove legal custody.

The National Pledge was written by Peter Israel.

On occasions when the National Pledge is recited the following form should be used:

“Before God and all mankind, I pledge allegiance to the flag of the Commonwealth of Dominica and to the Sovereign Republic for which it stands; my love, my loyalty and skills, in the service of Dominica and my fellow citizens. I promise to work diligently and to help build a prosperous and peaceful Nation.

Please note that without completing the Oath ceremony, your citizenship certificate will not be issued.
