The Police certificate of no criminal record is a statement from a national law enforcement authority on the status of a person’s criminal record; The Police certificate requirements vary from one citizenship by investment (CBI) program to another. It is one of the most important documents to be submitted in original along with the CBI application. You must provide a police record from a country (must not be older than six months) where you live and also where you lived in the past ten years. Note carefully six months or one year below.
In the UK, ACRO criminal records office issues police certificates. For Canada, applicants who require Canadian police certificates must provide the RCMP (Royal Canada Mountain Police) check which takes about 3 working days. In the US, a FBI report is required. Police certificates from Embassies or Consulates who are not authorised to issue criminal clearance certificate by their own respective laws will not be accepted. In some countries, the police authorities will only send this certificate directly to the foreign government requesting the certificate. In this case, the certificate should be sent to relevant immigration department.

St.Kitts & Nevis
Police certificate “Certificate of No Criminal Record” or “Police Clearance Certificate” from country of citizenship and any country where the applicant has lived for more than one year over the past 10 years (children under the age of 16 are exempt)
Antigua & Barbuda
Applicants over the age of 18 must provide police certificate that they have no criminal record.These documents are required for each country in which the person lived for 6 consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.
St Lucia
Police certificate from country of birth, and from any other country in which you have resided for a period of at least one year during the ten (10) years immediately preceding the submission of the application for citizenship by investment. The police certificate should be no more than six months old. *In the event that you are unable to obtain a police certificate, please provide an explanation. Police certificates are NOT required for qualifying dependants below the age of 16
Dominica
Police Record from country of birth, country of citizenship, country of residence (if different), and any country in which the applicant has resided for more than six (6) months in the past ten (10) years, for each applicant sixteen (16) years and over. For children aged twelve to fifteen (12-15), a sworn affidavit by the parent that a child does not have criminal record is required
Grenada
Police Certificates required for for every country where an applicant has resided for more than one year in the last ten years. Must be less than 6 months old and must state whether there are any records evidencing criminal activities or convictions of the person identified above. Exempted for children below 16 years old.
Turkey
A no criminal record certificate in Turkey or in any of the countries that you have lived in for the past twelve months.
Malta
All applicants aged 14 and over at the time of application submission must provide an original police conduct certificate as issued by the competent national/federal authorities in the country of origin and in the country or countries of residence where the applicant has resided for a period of more than 6 months during the last 10 years.Police certificates must be in original, less than 6 months old upon submission of
application and certified by the national/federal police system of the relevant country. Police certificates do not require a further apostille/ legalisation if submitted from the following jurisdictions: EEA, EU, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada. Any police conduct certificates which are not in the English language should be translated accordingly.
Vanuatu
Police certificate from your home country;
Exemptions
- No police certificate would be required from your country of current citizenship if you can demonstrate and provide irrefutable evidence that you have never lived there;
- No police certificate would be required if you have renounced your citizenship, evidence of renunciation (renunciation certificate/jurisdictional equivalent) must be provided;
- If you are unable to provide a police certificate; a separate statutory declaration in both English and the applicant’s own ethnic language, detailing his/her attempts to obtain a police certificate stating whether he/she has been found guilty or convicted of, or charged with offences against the law in any jurisdiction for which he/she is unable to provide such certificate(s), or has not been charged with any offences against the law. o the declaration must be supported by two (2) documents attesting to your character, from reputable members of his community.
