On October 1st, 2018, the Portuguese government approved a new regulatory decree allowing non-EU citizens to apply for the Golden visa through investment funds.
- Residency in Portugal – Grants a 5-year residency permit to non-EU citizens who Invest € 500,000 through investment funds. The investment in the Fund gives investor and his family, including children and parents direct access to Portuguese Residency and a path to Citizenship in 5 years. Allowing for travelling in 26 Schengen Area countries.
- Schengen Area – Valid for all Schengen countries and the applicant only needs to spend 7 days per year in Portugal to maintain the residency
