The Saint Lucia government will be upgrading their e-passports to 10 year passports from the currently issued 5 years to make it easier for citizens to travel and settle abroad.
During his second reading of the budget address on Wednesday April 23rd Prime
Minister Honorable Philip J Pierre announced the extension of passport
validity from 5 to 10 years in a recent press conference.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) Immigration Department has announced is preparing for several upcoming initiatives following the Prime Minister’s Budget Address. The department shared that the rollout of 10-year passports is imminent, with preparations already underway.
Crescent Lionel, head of the Royal St lucia Police Force Immigration Department acknowledged the government’s plans and confirmed that these changes are under their supervision we are also tasked to monitor the implementation of the 10-year passport for all adults 18 years and above .
The immigration department has been tasked with several other initiatives including
overseeing online applications for passport renewals and better accessibility.
