AIMA Cuts Waiting Times for Lawyers

The Portugal immigration office (AIMA) has introduced a streamlined application process for applications submitted by lawyers and law firms, according a signed cooperation agreement on “code of good practises” between AIMA and Portuguese Bar Association. This came a result of conclusion of an institutional dialogue process that began several months ago and aims to provide preferential immigration treatment to law firms such as ..

  • Existence of specific service hours reserved only for lawyers and trainee lawyers at AIMA stores.

The new procedure, now in force, will benefit legal firms submitting applications for golden visa and other categories for residence permits.
