Documents Checklist for Antigua Citizenship by Investment

Please prepare the following list of documents to be submitted to Antigua & Barbuda citizenship by investment office by an authorized agent. This checklist shows all forms and documents that must be provided in your application.

Below is a more detailed explanation of the requirements, and who is required to submit each document. Note the validity, some certificates have time limit. The latest set of application forms will be provided to you by authorized agent.

Documents Checklist

All Applicants
Form AB1: Citizenship by Investment Application. Documents of Support/Evidence: Any documents required as evidence, explanation or otherwise in support of any of the answers given or statements made.
All Applicants
Form AB2: Photograph and signature certificate. One of the eight photographs must be attached to form AB2, this form must be certified/notarized
All Applicants
Form AB3: Medical certificate. Section E must be filled out by the physician. (If the physician or clinic does not have a medical stamp, a business card must be provided).
Principal Applicant
Form AB4: Investment confirmation. Use to indicate which investment option you wish to participate in: National Development Fund (NDF)/ Real Estate/Business/Education (UWI).
Principal Applicant (Do not fill)
Form AB5: Agent form. Used to appoint your local agent, who will be the point of contact and will represent you throughout your application process (Do not fill section B).
All Applicants 16 years and over
Passport Application L: Do not place any photographs on these forms. Do not certify Section 9, leave blank. Applicants that are 17 years old, both parents must sign section 10 and at least one parent must sign section 12.

Passport Application M: Do not place any photographs on these forms. Do not certify Section 9, leave blank. Applicants that are 17 years old, both parents must sign section 10 and at least one parent must sign section 12.

Current Passport: Certified/Notarized colour copy of your current passport(s) showing full bio page and any pages containing visas (blank pages are not needed). (An Apostille is required if your country of origin is signed to The Hague Convention)

Passport Photos: 8 original passport-size-coloured photos of yourself taken within the past 6 months. Photos are to be certified by the submitting agent. (DO NOT WRITE ON THE BACK OF THESE PHOTOS – LEAVE BLANK)

Identification Card: Certified/notarized colour copy of your current machine-readable national identity card(s).
All applicants
Birth Certificate: Original excerpt of full birth record or certified/notarized copy of full birth certificate. (Apostille required if your country signed hague convention)
Any applicant (if applicable)
Proof of Name Change: Certified/Notarized copy of proof of name change. (If name was changed due to marriage, then the marriage certificate will suffice)
All Applicants 18 years and over
Police Certificate(s): Must provide original police certificate from any country where the applicant has lived in for more than 6 months over the past 10 years, and all countries of citizenship.
Any applicant (if applicable)Military Records: Certified/Notarized copy of military record(s)
Principal applicant
In case of the real-estate option: copy of duly executed real estate contract (Purchase and Sales Agreement; Inland Revenue stamped transfer document) and copy of duly executed escrow agreement.

Bank Reference Letter: 1 original bank reference letter issued by an internationally recognized bank, not older than 6 months.

Bank Statements – last 12 months bank statements to coincide with the bank account listed on Form AB1, Section A23.

Professional Reference Letter: 1 original professional reference (i.e., from an attorney, Notary Public, Chartered Accountant, or other professionals of similar standing) not older than 6 months.

Proof of employment: Principal applicant must state whether they are employed, semi-employed or retired and are required to submit corporate or supporting documents.

Proof of Address: 2 original documents of evidence of residential address (i.e., certified copy of a recent utility bill and lease/tenancy agreement or certificate of title reflecting applicants name and current address), Utility bill not older than 3 months.

Affidavit of support: A sworn affidavit of support for each dependent (excluding spouse and siblings) over 18 years of age.

Marriage Certificate: Original excerpt of marriage record or certified/notarized copy of marriage certificate(s). This applies to the main applicant as well as dependent parents if applicable. (An Apostille is required if your country of origin is signed to The Hague Convention)

Divorce Certificate: Certified/notarized copy of divorced document(s). This applies to the principal applicant as well as dependent parents if applicable. (An Apostille is required if your country of origin is signed to The Hague Convention)
Any Applicant if Applicable
Proof of Address for all applicants not living with Principal Applicant: 2 original documents of evidence of residential address (i.e., certified copy of a recent utility bill and lease/tenancy agreement or certificate of title reflecting applicants name and current address), not older than 3 months.

Certification

When a document is required to be produced in support of the application for Citizenship by Investment, it must be certified and authenticated in accordance with the law of the jurisdiction from where the document originates.

The person certifying the document must provide the following information; full name in capitals, the capacity in which the person is acting, residential or business address, telephone number and e-mail address.

Where a notary public certifies a document to be a true copy of the original, that document must be authenticated by:

a)       An apostille in accordance with the provisions of the Hague Convention of 5th October 1961 abolishing the requirement for legislation for foreign public documents, in the case of a jurisdiction that is a party to that convention.

b)      Validation of the certificate of the notary public by the appropriate government department in the case of a jurisdiction that is not a party to that convention.

Police Certificates

Individuals over the age of 18 must provide a confirmation from a national law enforcement authority (usually the police or a department at the Ministry of Justice or a similar government body) that they have no criminal record and must be apostilled .These documents are required for each country in which the person lived for 6 consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.
