Dominica increases visa free rights to citizens

The Commonwealth of Dominica is becoming an increasingly popular destination for foreign investment as foreign investors find the Caribbean territory particularly attractive as a second citizenship option as a direct result of the visa-free access afforded to Dominican passport holders.

Visa-free travel has emerged as important human right in the 21st century. Investing in a passport that provides visa free access to major countries in the world has become an important investment. As of 2020, Dominica citizens have access to 140 countries and territories with the passport.

Recently in 2020, the caribbean nation of Dominica established diplomatic relations with Bangladesh. This agreement is set to benefit both nations in various fields of mutual interest towards prosperity.  Uzbekistan introduced visa waiver for 20 more countries from 2020

The Visa waiver travel is the ability to visit a country without having to complete lengthy visa procedures. Nationals of a country can travel visa-free to another country if the governments of the two countries signed an agreement to that effect, or if the receiving country unilaterally opened its borders.

From just 80 destinations in 2010 to 141 countries in 2020, Dominica has made a great stride increasing the visa free travel to all citizens. The breakthrough came when Dominica signed a mutual visa-waiver agreement with the European Union on 28 May 2015 which was ratified on 15 December 2015. This gave access to 26 schengen countries.

Depending on the country where citizenship is granted, passport holders can have the right to travel visa-free to a number of nations across the world.

This access opens doors not only to travel but also for business and investment. Depending on which country the second passport is being applied for, Dominican citizenship provides access to developed countries including the entirety of the Schengen region of Europe and Asian business hubs like Singapore and Hong Kong, as well as the UK and Canada. Currently, a second passport from Dominica affords travellers visa-free access to over 140 different countries, opening further channels for international trade and industry.
