St Kitts and Nevis is one of the beautiful countries in the Caribbean and also a former english colony. It is a small country with just a population of 55,000.

St Kitts and Nevis is one of the difficult countries in the world to get citizenship. Naturalizing as resident takes 14 years of living. This is exactly why citizenship by investment (Cbi) became very popular.

Citizenship by Investment

St Kitts and Nevis is the birthplace of Citizenship by investment and this scheme has been running for 26 years. The CBI legislation offers two routes and donation route is taken by over 90% of applicants, because it is simpler, easier and faster

  1. Sustainable Growth Fund (SGF) – USD 150,000 (single) and USD 195,000 (families). There is also a Covid-19 discount offered by Govt. From Jan 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023, The SKN Government is offering a Limited Time Discount  (LTO) of USD 25,000 on all SGF applications from the above contribution.
  2. Real Estate – USD 200,000 (minimum held for 7 years) plus Govt fee.

To understand fees properly, there are Government fee (donation + due diligence + passport)  plus Agent fee.

The Govt will charge you also fee for due diligence background checks. Due diligence fee: US$7,500 for the main applicant, and US$4,000 for each dependent above 16 years. Passport fee is USD 350 per person.

All the Govt fees can be greatly varying, depending on ages of children, family members and the country you apply form. In a nutshell, over 90% of the fee you pay goes to the SKN Government.

Accelerated application process within 60 days is available for no additional fee.

Passport

The question of passport starts with citizenship. First you must become a citizen of St Kitts and Nevis, only citizens are issued passports. Remember with any country, there are citizenship plus passport costs must taken into consideration. All passports are issued according to Passport Act. The Minister may, in his or her discretion, issue passports in Saint Kitts and Nevis (SKN) to citizens of Saint Christopher and Nevis. Passports shall remain the property of the government and may be cancelled or withdrawn at any time by the Minister.

The Passport issue fee is US$30. Under CBI, the passport issue costs $350 per person.

How to Calculate?

Please note undercutting the minimum prices set by government will not make you eligible for citizenship. You must meet the government minimum requirement of USD 150,000.

Donation (Family of 4)

We will assume you are main applicant, spouse with 2 children (< 16 yrs)

Contribution: $170,000 (non-refundable)
DD fee: $11,000

Passport, application fee etc: $1500
Total:  $190,500 (approx)

Donation (Family of 6)

We will assume you are main applicant, spouse with 4 children (< 16 yrs)

Contribution: $190,000 (non-refundable) Limited offer
DD fee: $11,000
Lawyer and agent fee: $3000
Passport, application fee etc: $2000
Total:  $216,600 (approx)

Donation (Family of 8)

We will assume you are main applicant, spouse with 2 children (< 16 yrs), 2 children (>16y), two parents

Contribution: $215,000 (non-refundable)
DD fee: $21,500
Lawyer and agent fee: $3000
Passport, application fee etc: $2500
Total:  $237,000 (approx)

Real Estate

Let us assume you are a family of 3  (main applicant, spouse and child < 10). Please note you must hold $200,000 investment for 7 years (share ownership from a developer).

Fully titled property or residential private homes is only available for $400,000 upwards, must be held for 5 years.

Real Estate: $200,000 (share ownership)
DD fee: $11,500
Govt processing fee: $55,000
Lawyer and agent fee: $3000
Passport, application fee etc: $1500
Total:  $270,500

The exit strategy is available after 7 years as the the property can be either sold off or the developer will buyback the shares at the market rate making this a fully refundable investment.

Since $200,000 is fully returned back by developer after 7 years, the net costs for st kitts citizenship is only $73,500.

Loans is also possible with banks arranged by developer depending on the case..

You can buy  private homes with full title property for  $400,000 and upwards.

Agent fee

Licensed Govt appointed agents will also charge between $3000 to $5000 to submit your applications to the CIU unit. You must grant POW to the agent to submit your application as per government rules.
